| Further Information | Antimony Glycolate has the following features compared with antimony trioxide and antimony acetate: 1. The molecular structure of the catalyst makes it easier to have electron transfer with polyester molecular which shows a higher catalytic activity. 2. It won't bring any impurities to polycondensation, is cleaner than antimony trioxide and antimony acetate. 3. It contains the highest antimony content among all soluble antimony catalysts. 4. Polyester products have better colors and lustre and thermal stability. 5. It has wide applicability, and can be applied to ester exchange and direct esterification process, existing allocate facilities do not need to be modified. 6. It can improve the application environment of catalyst, and reduce the production cost of polyester. Antimony Glycolate is mainly used as catalyst for poly-condensation of polyester, it is a very active polycondensation catalyst and can be added at either the direct esterification or the polycondensation stage of the process. It is optimized for use in conjunction with the titanium based polyester catalyst technology. The absence of the acetate anion can be an advantage to some polyester manufacturers. |
